There are three easy steps to becoming a leader:

Complete a Life Group leader application. Apply

Meet in an interview with a Life Group Director.

Attend Life Group Leader Orientation.
Qualifications for Life Group leaders:
- Be a growing, born-again believer in Jesus Christ.
- Be a committed member of James River Assembly.
- Have signed the JRA Leadership Covenant.
- Be in agreement with the purpose of Life Groups at JRA.
Responsibilities of Life Group leaders:
- Provide the Life Group with vision, direction, and support as outlined by the leadership of JRA.
- Lead the Life Group in a home (either yours or another group member's) on your designated Life Group night.
- Take on a personal mentoring role of an apprentice with the idea of multiplying the Life Group during the 18-month time period.
- Lead the Life Group through JRA approved curriculum.
- Approve and sign childcare reimbursement forms for group members.
- Meet with a Life Group Director three times per year and attend two Leader Trainings each year.
- Track and report attendance online.
- Inform the Adult Ministries office of any circumstances that may need attention, such as benevolence issues, counseling situations, hospitalizations, etc.
